Parker Woods is an innovative guitarist, educator and composer from Vancouver, B.C.  Influenced by both musical and non-musical artist such as Bill Frisell, Jakob Bro, and artists, Paul Klee, and Ben Shahn, Parker’s compositions are cinematic explorations of sound and texture.

Parker holds an undergraduate degree in Jazz Studies from Capilano University. During his time there he performed with acclaimed jazz artist such as Norma Winstone, Randy Brecker, and David Braid. Current projects include leading the group, Otra, and co-creating the band Family Dog. Parker is also involved in V.Y.C.E, Mashed Poetics Band, Ardeshir Quartet, and Sarah Kennedy Music. In education, Parker is currently on staff as a senior instructor at St. James Music Academy.
